Vibratory feeders Vibratory feeders are designed to smoothly convey products. Flow of material is adjustable, and flow rate can be variable or fixed. Available in electric or air-operated models, BPS heavy-duty vibratory feeders are designed with above-, below- or side-mounted drives and can be arranged for base mounting or overhead suspension. Feeders come in custom vibrating trough lengths, with special trough designs available. Several basic models are available, including air-operated light duty, air-operated heavy duty, twin-motor vibrating pan and grizzly feeders, electromagnetic, twin motor and special application feeders.

Rubber mixers and mills
Internal mixers, two-roll mills, compression molding presses, bale cutters and extruder sheet take-off machines are provided by the company, including the reconditioning of such machines. The company has introduced three larger internal intensive mixers to its product line that are said to make life easier for installations. No mezzanine is required. Customers simply move the mixer close to the mill or extruder and install a conveyor. Discharge is by means of two hinged sides which will open, allowing material to drop onto a short conveyor supplied by the company. Sides are to be fully shielded. The mixers are controlled with PLC controllers, allowing manual and computer controlled speeds. In addition to these mixers, the company is offering 16" x 42/48" and 22" x 60" mills with drilled rolls, variable speeds and variable friction, anti-friction spherical roller bearings, hinged guides and recirculating pressurized oil lubrication with 25 micron filtration and temperature control.

Rotary wet blasting system A rotary table wet blast system features manual and semi-automatic modes of operation. The SS-10 SA is designed to use abrasive or bead-type media for dustless blast cleaning, descaling, surface preparation and cosmetic finishing of components that may be too damp or oily for dry blast processing. The 60" x 70" blast cabinet stands 96" tall and is fabricated from non-corroding composite material. The interior of the wet blasting chamber is lined with sheet rubber for abrasion resistance. A 50" x 50" swing door provides access to the blast enclosure on each side. On the right side, a track extension and transfer cart allow the 49" diameter rotary table to be rolled out for loading and unloading. A drip tray beneath the track extension is standard equipment.

Upgraded benchtop ovens
The LAC benchtop oven is said to be a reliable choice for demanding production and laboratory thermal processing applications. Company engineers were tasked with streamlining the manufacturing process for faster delivery and more consistent quality control. The oven now ships in three days or less, and within a week if standard options are added, according to the company. The oven was also redesigned with the controls, heater and fan now moved from the bottom to the top for better ergonomics and more convenient service access. The oven interior has been upgraded to 304 stainless steel. The LAC is also offered in a standard Class A model.

Injection molding press
Injection molding press The dual-compound CMS machine is a standard injection press with four rotating stations and two injection units allowing for the synchronous curing, stripping and injection of two compounds into the same mold. Equipping an injection molding machine with a second injection unit has been a viable production technology for the company on all types of machines in all configurations, dating back to the G7 generation. These include injection from the top or the bottom, the back or the side, etc. In that way, the company can respond to its customers' most complex requirements for production. The production of dual-compound parts may be performed on a CMS press using two sequential injections into two complementary cavities; simultaneous injection into two different cavities or into two separate part cavities; or simultaneous (or offset) injection into one single cavity. It is also possible to directly inject into the mold or through a special cold runner block, integrating several compound circuits.

Electric universal oven The No. 935 is an electrically-heated, 500F universal oven, currently used for curing rubber parts at a customer facility. Workspace dimensions measure 48" wide x 48" deep x 36" high. Nichrome wire heating elements with 12 kw installed provide the power to the oven, while a 600 cfm, 1/2 hp recirculating blower provides a universal front-to-rear airflow pattern. This oven features an aluminized steel exterior, Type 430 stainless steel interior and 4" insulated walls throughout. An integral leg stand and swivel casters with swivel locks and wheel brakes are provided to make the unit completely portable. The No. 935 includes all the safety equipment onboard for handling flammable solvents. It also features a 10" diameter circular chart recorder.

Injection molding system
A geometrically optimized and stress-resistant thermoplastic brake pedal is produced using a vertical insert 1050H/230 single US injection molding machine with an Easix multi-axis industrial robot and infrared oven. A continuous-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic semi-finished product (known as thermoplastic fabric) will be heated, preformed in a mold and immediately over-molded with polyamide. The system produces ready-to-fit components. No cutting is necessary. The control unit of the Easix multi-axis robot is fully integrated into the control unit of the injection molding machine. As a result, besides making it easy to operate and program the robot, the movements of the machine and robot are precisely coordinated with each other.

Vertical injection molding The HC03VRE micro vertical molding machine is designed for the high-speed molding of precision micro parts, and achieves a dry cycle time of only 0.9 seconds. Short cycle times are made possible using a mold clamping system that closes and clamps in a single motion coupled with a belt-driven table rotation. Belt conveyor oven The No. 937 is a gas-heated, 500F belt conveyor oven, currently used for curing rubber. Workspace dimensions measure 36" wide x 68" deep x 15" high. A modulating natural gas burner with 175,000 btu/hour installed heats the unit, while a 3,300 cfm, 2 hp recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload. This oven features a 6" long open belt loading zone, 12" long insulated, unheated entrance vestibule, 60" long insulated heating zone with recirculated airflow and a 12" long insulated unheated exit vestibule. The unit has 4" insulated walls throughout, an aluminized steel interior, a stainless exterior with #4 brushed finish and a 30" wide, 1" x 1" flat wire conveyor belt with 1/4 hp motor drive, variable from 1-20 inches per minute. This oven also includes a digital indicating temperature controller and fused disconnect switch. A side hinged door allows access to the workspace and heat chamber.

Prior to commissioning the DTI-226-300, the customer cured the linings by placing them in a fixture and processing them through a series of ovens in order to achieve the desired temperature profile. This required handling the product at several stages of the process. The DTI-226-300 indexing conveyor oven enables the user to place multiple fixtures across the width of the conveyor belt. The oven then indexes them through four heated zones, eliminating the need to handle the fixtures multiple times throughout the curing process.

Short run molding The Stuffer Box is said to be the solution for prototyping, short run molding or micro-molding. Capabilities of two different units include a chamber that is 420 hardened stainless steel; a 3/4-14 NPT female thread to connect the Stuffer Box to a molding machine; and material is fed directly into the machine barrel, eliminating cleaning a pumping unit and material feed mechanism. The low volume, high pressure 27 ci LVHP27 has a volume of 27 cubic inches or 1.1 pounds of pre-mixed material; is capable of feeding LSR, gum stock silicone and some organic rubbers; and a controller regulates air pressure to 120 psi, 1,200 psi on the material with a 10:1 ratio. The high volume, high pressure 78 ci HVLP78 has a volume of 78 cubic inches or 3.1 pounds of pre-mixed material; is capable of feeding LSR and gum stock silicone; and a controller regulates air pressure to 120 psi, 330 psi on the materials with a 2.75:1 ratio.
