PLC(TEA)72
72% triethanloamine on an inert mineral carrier.
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 1.33; off-white dustless powder form

Powdered liquid concentrates are free flowing dustless powder dispersions of liquid ingredients on an inert mineral carrier.

Rhenofit 2120
Active magnesium oxide
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 3.57; white powder

An active magnesium oxide especially selected for the use in the rubber processing industry; improves the processing safety of rubber compounds based on CR, CSM, CM and CIIR; raises the critical temperature of basic accelerators and thus prevents scorching; In acid accelerators, the activiting temperature of acid accelerators is decreased; in polymers containing chlorine, especially CR, it serves as an acid acceptor and thus improves the aging properties of the vulcanizates; in cold cured rubber coated fabrics, Rhenofit 2120 is used to neutralize acid traces; moduli are generally increased by its addition.

Elast-O-Cal C-75
75% CaO dispersion in chlorinated paraffin
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 2.30; firm paste dispersion in a chlorinated paraffin binder (see calcium oxide)

A specially designed desiccant for CPE and other polymers where peroxide cure systems are utilized; it will not reduce the effectiveness of the peroxide system which does occur with naphthenic based desiccants.

Elast-O-Cal 80FDA
80% Codex grade CaO dispersion in USP grade white
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 2.25; firm paste dispersion in a mineral oil binder (see calcium oxide)

Similar in function to Elast-O-Cal 80 except Codex grade calcium oxide is used in a binder of USP grade white mineral oil; it is designed for applications involving food and liquid contact such as potable water contacting items andfood handling belting.

FE(Ca(OH)2)-68
68% calcium hydroxide in Carnauba wax
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 1.64; free flowing bead. (see Calcium Hydroxide).

FE(Ca(OH)2)-68 dispersion is a protected form of calcium hydroxide for general use in fluoroelastomer compounding; will improve dispersion, property consistency, and reduce mixing time; for safe handling of calcium hydroxide, FE (Ca(OH)2)-6

Poly-Dispersion GRD-90
90% Red Lead oxide in an ECO binder
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 5.18; orange slabs

Used as a cure activator in ECO cure systems; the red lead acts as an acid scavenger for the cure system allowing a more rapid cure.

Elast-O-Cal 80HT
80% CaO paste dispersion in paraffinic oil binder
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 2.25; firm paste dispersion in a 580°F flash point binder (see calcium oxide)

Similar to Elast-O-Cal 80 in function except the 580°F binder allows higher temperature curing operations without oil volatilization.

Elast-O-Cal 80
80% CaO in hydrotreated naphthenic oil binder
Rhein Chemie Corporation
ï

Sp.gr. 2.20; firm paste dispersion in a high flash hydrotreated naphthenic oil binder (see calcium oxide)

An efficient moisture absorber for all commonly used elastomers imparting excellent protection against porosity or blistering in rubber products produced in low-pressure, high-temperature cure systems such as microwave units, LCM, hot air cures or fluidize
