For CR, NBR, NR, SBR and their latices; recommended for tire carcass and tread compounds, extruded stocks, proof goods; activates thiazole accelerators and their derivatives; evens out and advances curing rates of off-grade rubbers deficient in natural fatty acids. Low blooming from cured and uncured compounds; much less blooming than many other fatty acid softeners; non-discoloring; melts, disperses readily.

For NR, SBR rubbers and latices, NR reclaim; affects air cures ranging from 24 hrs. at room temp to 20 min at 100°C; retarded by clay and other acidic materials; action with xanthates or carbon disulfide enhanced by thiazoles and thiurams; non-discoloring, non-staining; vulcanization requires zinc oxide and sulfur; fatty acids not necessary and can retard cure; can apply carbon disulfide by painting or dipping compounds thus eliminating danger of precure; for processing and applications see C-P-B.

For CR, IIR, NBR, NR, SBR and EPDM; activator for nitrogen-type blowing agents; activator for thiazole, thiuram and dithiocarbamate accelerators; relatively nondiscoloring and non-staining; reduces odor-producing properties of dinitrosopentamethylene tetramine blowing agents; helps lower decomposition point of Celogen AZ and Kempore types to range normal for rubber curing.
